Wind in the Sprinklers

One night in Azusa, CA the Santa Ana winds were blowing outside my friend's house. It was so loud and powerful. I loved it. We both went outside and was immediately blown backward by the winds. It seemed to blow off all your troubles too. Before we left we took a walk around the block. From where my friend lives in Azusa you can see such a georgeous overview of the valley below Mt. Wilson. So many lights sparkle across the land as we turned the corner. I loved feeling my hair blow against the wind. I tried to soak up every moment, but this is not the point. As we were driving off to drop me at home I noticed some sprinklers turn on. This is quite common, but it was so beautiful because the wind took the water spouting out from the sprinklers and pushed it up and over this way and that. The water seemed to be dancing in the air and unfortunately not completely landing on the plants it was supposed to water. It was so beautiful though. We all made a nice comment about the pretty dancing water, but what got to me was that it made me think about how God takes man made things and still uses them for his beauty. That even though it was made by humans God can still do something with it because it's his earth. We live surrounded by his creations, his works of art. You and I are his works of art that he created and through his power we can always run to him no matter what we've done.
